Overview

Matisse Software, developer of the Post-Relational SQL database, is seeking for a Senior Consultant. In this position you will be responsible for the successful deployment of Matisse-based applications on Windows. This position involves frequent travel across North America to work with clients on site.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and development of complex distributed system
  
• Lead project total lifecycle project development efforts, including coordination of technical support staff, determination of methods of approach, problem resolution, project progress review, integration and test
  
• Work closely with clients to clearly define scope of work and provide accurate schedule estimates
  
• Act as technical guide and mentor to client personnel
  
• Work with other professional services and sales team members in pre-sale engagements to produce mockups and proof of concepts
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in CS/EE/Physics/Math
  
• 10+ years of system software development experience in Unix environments
  
• Demonstrated leadership of complex software projects
  
• Strong design, coding and integration skills
  
• Experience with full software product lifecycles including specifications, design, coding, testing and debugging
  
• Strong problem solving skills with an eye for the big-picture and capable of delving into details when required. Must be creative; be able to develop new simple approaches to complex design problems
  
• Ability to handle multiple concurrent activities and have a flexible positive attitude
  
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with customers, partners and internal teams
  
• Database development experience working with schema design, database programming, stored procedures and database performance tuning, especially for complex queries
  
• Windows Development Experience a must
  
• Strong understanding of .NET framework class library and Windows/Web Forms, be able to design UI navigation, and create ASPX pages, and implement complex business logic and database access
  
• Experience in writing stored procedures, triggers and functions for SQL Server
  
• Experience with C#, VB.NET, ADO.NET, ASP.NET, AJAX and Web services
  
• Ability to travel a must
